About MBA Foundation

As 8 members of our team are physically disabled. Major difficulty in front of us was to find a convenient place to conduct our weekly meetings. But Meenakshi ma'm of MBA Foundation solved this problem by giving us permission to hold meetings at their Powai day care & life care center. For this we all are really thankful to Meenakshi ma'm.

MBA Foundation was started in 2001 by Meenakshi Balsubramanian & C R Balsubramanian with a mission of providing life with self-esteem & dignity for the disabled. MBA stands for Mutually Beneficial Activity. It has a very unique concept of creating an atmosphere where physically disabled and autistic person live together giving each other support, that is why it is called Mutually Beneficial Activity.

Today it has 4 day/life care centers in and around Mumbai. It also runs 'Friend of G.O.D.S club'. 'G.O.D.S.' stands for 'Groups Of Disabled'. Through this club it showcases & markets the products or services by 'G.O.D.S.'. Some of the products that are marketed are 'GODS Gold' Assam Tea, Paper Bags, Liquid Soap, Phenyl, Agarbathis, Candles, Folders, Bags etc. Some of the services that are offered are News paper advertisements, Data entry, Lamination, Xeroxing, Laser Print-outs, Spiral Binding, Tailoring, Catering etc.

In association with NASSCOM Foundation it is running a 'G.O.D.S. CEDAT' course of 6 months duration for educated disabled youngsters. Today because of this program Manisha Bhurke works in a multi-national company and Chanda Jagde & Sharda Jitekar works as full time staff of MBA Foundation.
